Participants will receive a whole-picture view of crucial elements to the treatment of common mental health concerns of anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder. This presentation begins with a large-scale view of treatment and focuses down into tangible and practical skills that individuals can use to regain their mental health.
First, participants will understand how to recognize the root causes of mental health issues which include neurological and biological imprinting in utero, anxiety and stress to avoidance and trauma. Naturopathic and nutritional protocols for supporting the neurotransmitter and neuroendocrine system pathways with various modalities are discussed. Participants will receive concrete models and tools for establishing the physical foundation of health with proper sleep, exercise and diet specifically tailored to support mental wellness.
On this foundation, the program delves into models for working with the emotional and psychological aspects of mental health- working with emotions, thoughts, behaviours, reactions, spirituality, and love and compassion using practical and applicable psychotherapeutic techniques within the scope of naturopathic medicine. Participants will gain confidence and skills learning how to manage their minds so they aren’t at the mercy of their thoughts and emotions.
