Carsten, this would be a good question to present to Dr. Wahls in her monthly roundtable when she answers questions. I know for me that coconut did not cause leaky gut, I healed my leaky gut on this protocol. You do not need to consume any coconut oil or milk to follow the Wahls protocol. Level 3 does talk about using the fat to stay in ketosis but if you read her newly revised book she talks about how you can use olive oil instead
